About the Presenters...

Rick Powell is a Senior System Engineer for The SCO Group Sales team. In this capacity, Rick works with SCO's partners in the Western states. Rick joined the SCO Group team in August 1999.

Rick brings over a decade and a half of experience in computer training and consulting to SCO. Prior to joining SCO, Rick worked as a private contract instructor/consultant. He worked for Novell with the UNIXWARE product team. He also worked for WordPerfect’s UNIX division in the capacity of lead instructor, supporting WordPerfect on 29 UNIX platforms.

Rick’s professional history also includes Certified Novell Instructor (CNI), Certified Novell Engineer (CNE), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), UNIX Certified Trainer, Linux Professional Institute Certified (LPI).

Most recently, Rick has four years successful experience as a private contract instructor and consultant teaching UNIX, Novell, and Microsoft courses.

Dave Stetzel is is a Director of the America System Engineers for The SCO Group Sales Team. Dave oversees the America SEs in working with SCO partners and corporate accounts in addition to his own upper midwest to East coast territory. Dave joined SCO in 1997.

Dave has almost three decades in the computer industry beginning in 1977 with Burroughs corporation which later became Unisys. Dave has held positions as field service engineer, technical support engineer, 10 years in education with Unisys where Dave authored many of the first UNIX courses offered by Burroughs/Unisys. Dave was also a UNIX education manager for three years before moving into Pre-Sales marketing as a Architecture Specialist. Dave finished his 20 years with Unisys corporation as a Marketing Technical manager prior to joining SCO.

When Dave is not in front of a computer his number one joy is his grandkids, followed by Nascar and fishing.
