Java^TM 2 Standard Edition v. 1.3.0_02 for Caldera UNIX Operating Systems

The Java^TM 2 Standard Edition (J2SE) for Caldera UNIX Operating Systems is a powerful runtime deployment environment and software development kit that is portable, object-oriented, platform independent, and especially well suited for developing web-enabled applications. The J2SE includes the Java compiler, interpreter, just-in-time compiler, classes, and documentation, and is licensed to all Open UNIX 8, UnixWare 7, and SCO OpenServer Release 5 licensees.

J2SE 1.3.0_02 for Caldera UNIX is a full implementation of the Sun Microsystems^TM Java 2 Platform - the technology and environment described in the Sun^TM specifications of the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition, v. 1.3.0.

Note: The version of J2SE 1.3.0_02 for Caldera (now SCO) UNIX that was first available in media kits and on the web download site was marked FCS for Open UNIX 8 and UnixWare 7 and Beta for OpenServer 5. Since that time, SCO has produced a refreshed J2SE 1.3.0_02 that contains fixes to the Open UNIX 8, UnixWare 7, and OpenServer 5 versions and that brings the OpenServer 5 version up to FCS level. It is this refreshed version that is now available for download.
