Java Technologies on SCO Systems

Java^TM

• Download Java 2 Standard Edition v. 1.3.1_0x releases for UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.3, 7.1.2 (Open UNIX 8), 7.1.1, or SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.7 or 5.0.6     (look for the specific version you want)

• Download Java 2 Standard Edition v. 1.3.1_02a for OpenLinux 3.1 and 3.1.1 and UnixWare 7 with LKP or Open UNIX 8 with LKP

• Download Java 2 Standard Edition v. 1.3.0_02 for Open UNIX 8, UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1, or SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.6

• Download Java 2 RE 1.2.2 for UnixWare 7 Release 7.1 or Release 7.1.1, or SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.2, 5.0.4, or 5.0.5

• Download Java 2 SDK 1.2.2 for UnixWare 7 Release 7.1 or Release 7.1.1, or SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.2, 5.0.4, or 5.0.5

• Download JDK^TM 1.1.8 or JRE 1.1.8 for UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1, or SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.5 or 5.0.6

• Download JDK 1.1.7B for UnixWare 7 Release 7.1 or Release 7.1.1, SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.2, 5.0.4, or 5.0.5, or SCO UnixWare 2.1.3

• Download JDK 1.1.7A for UnixWare 7 Release 7.0.1 or Release 7.1, SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.2, 5.0.4, or 5.0.5, or SCO UnixWare 2.1.3

• Download JDK 1.1.3u for SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.4 or later, SCO UnixWare 2.1.2 or later, or UnixWare 7

Binary Compatibility Modules

These are the packages (for UDK compatibility) that are necessary to install first in order to install the J2SE or JDK on either SCO OpenServer Release 5 or SCO UnixWare 2.1.x. Each Java version's Release Notes will indicate which version of the Binary Compatibility Module it needs. These packages are not necessary for installing any Java release on UnixWare 7 or Open UNIX 8.

• Download Binary Compatibility Module 7.1.3 for SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.6 or 5.0.7 (package set OSRcompat)

• Download Binary Compatibility Module 7.1.1b for SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.6 (package OSRcompat) (contained in the udkrtfs part of the "UnixWare and OpenServer Development Kit Feature Supplement 7.1.1b" download)

• Download Binary Compatibility Module 7.1.1 for SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.2, 5.0.4, 5.0.5, or 5.0.6 (package OSRcompat)

• Download Binary Compatibility Module 7.1.1 for SCO UnixWare 2.1.3 (package UW2compat)

Runtime Feature Supplements

These are the packages that are necessary to install first in order to install some Java versions on UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 (Open UNIX 8). Each Java version's Release Notes will indicate whether this is necessary. These packages are not necessary for installing any Java release on UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.3.

• Download UDK Runtime Feature Supplement 7.1.1b for UnixWare 7 Release 7.1.1. (package set udkrtfs) (contained in the "UnixWare and OpenServer Development Kit Feature Supplement 7.1.1b" download)
