Release
          SCO Openserver System Release 5.0.7
Problem
          The SCO OpenServer 5.0.7 Maintenance Pack 5 Release Notes
          claim support for Hyper-Threading and Dual Core at:

 ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/openserver5/507/mp/osr507mp5/osr507mp5.htm#rn507mp_ht

          but I am unable to find the man pages online for "hyperthreading" or
          "dual-core".

Solution
          To make use of MuitiCore/Dual Core or Hyper-Threading on an
          OpenServer 5.0.7 system you will need to:

          1) Install the SCO OpenServer Symmetrical Multiprocessing
          product from the OpenServer 5.0.7 Base Operating System
          Installation CD.

          Please Note: If you only have a single physical CPU on your
          machine you can defer licensing. An SMP License is only
          required for each additional physical CPU on your system.
          Logical (Hyper threaded) CPUs do not require an SMP
          License.

          2) Install the SCO OpenServer 5.0.7 Maintenance Pack 5
          Images. You can get these images from:

          http://www.sco.com/support/update/download/release.php?rid=186

          3) MultiCore and DualCore are enabled by default whereas Hyper-
             Threading is disabled by default.

          To enable it, you can either edit your boot defbootstr with:

           "smp.ht=yes|no"
           "smp.mc=yes|no"

          or install without this functionality and add post-installtion in:

          /etc/default/boot

          and add for HyperThreading:

          smp.ht=yes

          to this file.

          Multicore/Dual Core can be disabled with:

          smp.mc=no

          4) Reboot your system for the changes to take effect.

          If you want to check on the status of your logical CPUs
          once the system has been rebooted type:

          cpuonoff -c
