Problem
Where can I find a TCP/IP dump or software sniffer application?

Solution
For OpenLinux, see: /usr/sbin/ethereal and /usr/sbin/tcpdump

          For OpenServer, see: ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/TLS/tls604.ltr

For Open UNIX 8/UnixWare7, see: /usr/sbin/tcpdump

NOTE:
There is an Ethereal package available from:

ftp://ftp2.sco.com/pub/skunkware/uw7/Packages/ethereal-0.8.14.pkg

          It is dependent on:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 4903424 Feb 12 14:46 gtk+-1.2.8.pkg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 528896 Feb 12 14:48 glib-1.2.8.pkg
-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 103424 Feb 12 14:51 zlib-1.1.3.pk

          Manually link:

-rwxr-xr-x 3 root sys 58664 Nov 22 2000 libz.so.1.1.3

to libz.so and libz.so.1 in /usr/local/lib because when the package
          installs it is broken.

Then finally /usr/local/bin/ethereal starts, but when you try to
select a device to capture any device in /dev fails with permission
          problems.
