SCO Edition of Sun's Java WorkShop

The SCO edition of Sun Microsystems Inc.'s JavaTM WorkShopTM is a powerful, visual development tool for professional Java programmers. It offers a complete, integrated development environment for building JavaBeansTM, Java applets, and applications faster and easier than ever before.

This second generation of the SCO Edition of Sun's Java WorkShop is designed to boost Java development productivity by supporting a complete debug-edit-compile-debug-tune cycle. In addition, it is the only Java IDE with a profiler to help developers identify bottlenecks in their application and tune for performance. The SCO Edition of Sun's Java WorkShop supports the latest Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.1 standards, including the Java beans component model.

The SCO Edition of Sun's Java WorkShop has a new, integrated "editor-centric" user model for fast viewing and writing of code, complete with syntax highlighting, auto indentation, popular key bindings, and fast hyperlink to source code during development. A new, faster Java compiler significantly reduces build time. The advanced debugger with multithreading support allows remote debugging across the network. Support for different version control systems for team development is built in.

A 30-day evaluation version of the SCO Edition of Sun's Java WorkShop is included with recent operating system Media Kits. A full, licensed version can be purchased separately from your SCO Reseller. Or, license the UnixWare and OpenServer Development Kit, which includes the Java Development tools.
