OpenServer HBA Certification Tests

The O5hbacert package provides the OpenServer HBA Certification Tests that are used to test OpenServer SCSI Host Adapter drivers and supported SCSI peripheral devices.

This package is unchanged since the version released to as part of HDK Release 7.0.0.

System requirements

This package has no dependencies. It can be installed on UnixWare 7 systems for reference although the tests can be run only on OpenServer systems. See the hbacert package for similar tests that run on UnixWare 7 systems.

Installation

To install the package from:

downloaded files

  1. Log in as root.
  2. Download the package to an installation directory; for example, /tmp.
  3. Use the pkgadd(ADM) command to install it by entering:
    pkgadd  -d  /tmp/O5hbatest

media distribution

  1. Log in as root.
  2. Insert the CD-ROM in the drive.
  3. Create a cdrom directory if it does not already exist:
    mkdir  /cdrom
  4. Mount the CD-ROM by typing:
    mount  -r  /dev/cd0  /cdrom
  5. Use the pkgadd(ADM) command to install it by entering:
    pkgadd  -d  /cdrom/O5hbatest

You will be prompted for a directory name in which to install the test suite.

Known limitations

You must have the separate hbacert test CD in order to run these tests. This CD is unchanged from that used for earlier versions of the hbacert tests on UnixWare 7 and OpenServer. You may request a copy of this CD by writing to hdkinfo@sco.com.
